IGN has released a video of the first 15 minutes of gameplay from Shadow of the Tomb Raider!
Well, to be honest – it mostly consists of cutscenes, but it’s all very pretty; the footage has been captured on the Xbox One, and is presented in shiny 4K. Following a high octane opening, we flash back in time two days to find Lara Croft chilling underground. After sustaining injuries in a rockfall, Lara and Jonah reach the ruins of a temple nestled within a cave. But it’s booby trapped. In classic Tomb Raider style, rocks start to fall and walls begin to collapse, prompting a hasty scramble for the exit.
We rejoin Lara and Jonah at a cafe on the island of Cozumel, Mexico, as they compare notes and plan their next move. They opt to go under the radar, donning masks and hoods as they stealth their way through a nighttime market in search of a man of interest. It’s all very Assassin’s Creed and very, very beautiful. But has something strange happened to Camilla Luddington’s voice…?
I’m nit-picking. Take a look at the new video here.
